Cirugía oftalmológica con analgesia acupuntural
Abstract
Por primera ocasión en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila se reporta la realización de dos operaciones de cirugía mayor por el método de analgesia acupuntural en la especialidad de oftalmología realizadas en el mes de enero de 1997 en el Hospital General Provincial Docente “Capitán Roberto Rodríguez Fernández”, de Morón. Fueron operados una paciente de 72 años de edad, afectada de catarata senil y un glaucoma primario de ángulo abierto en un paciente de 69 años. El acto quirúrgico transcurrió sin accidentes y el postoperatorio también. La analgesia ocular fue total. El único medicamento administrado fue un ámpula (20mg) endovenosa de Difenhidramina.
