Comportamiento clínico-epidemiológico de la Lepra en el municipio Morón durante el Quinquenio 2004-2008
Abstract
La lepra es una enfermedad temida y constituye un problema de salud en el mundo. Se realizó unestudio longitudinal retrospectivo para conocer el comportamiento clínico-epidemiológico de la
lepra en el municipio de Morón durante el quinquenio del 2004 hasta el 2008. El universo de
estudio estuvo representado por 9 casos. Esta enfermedad constituye un problema de salud en el
municipio porque la tasa de prevalencia es superior a 1 caso x 105 habitantes. Las variables
usadas fueron tasa de incidencia, formas clínicas, grado de discapacidad, índice de baciloscopía,
situación en relación al foco, modo de detección, primeros síntomas, localización de los primeros
síntomas. Los resultados indican que los años 2007 y 2008 constituyeron los de mayor incidencia
con 4.82 x 105 habitantes respectivamente; la forma clínica más frecuente es la lepra
indeterminada; el 77.7% de los enfermos no presentaron grados de discapacidad al diagnóstico;
la forma de detección fue espontánea; el resultado de la baciloscopía fue codificación “0”. Los
primeros síntomas presentes en la mayor cantidad de los pacientes fue la mancha anestésica en
el 66.6%, las mismas se localizaron en los muslos, piernas y pies en el 44.4% de los notificantes,
el 55.5% de los casos fueron caso índice
