Intervención educativa sobre el autoexamen de mama en mujeres mayores de treinta años.

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio pre experimental antes y después de la intervención educativa en el policlínico norte de Morón con el objetivo de modificar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el autoexamen de mama en mujeres mayores de treinta años de edad del grupo básico de trabajo 2. El universo estuvo constituido por 268 mujeres de 30 a 59 años de edad y la muestra por 134 mujeres féminas, se estudiaron las variables generales, vías por las cuales conocieron sobre el autoexamen, frecuencia, momentos en el que se lo realizan, alteraciones que pueden detectarse, formas de diagnóstico temprano, técnica empleada en su realización. Los datos se obtuvieron a través de una encuesta, se utilizó el porcentaje como medida de resumen y el Chi cuadrado para el análisis estadístico. Antes de la intervención educativa existía un nivel de conocimiento incorrecto sobre la frecuencia y el momento del ciclo menstrual en el que debe realizarse el autoexamen de mama, así como las formas de diagnóstico temprano y dominio de la técnica, variables que alcanzaron un nivel de conocimiento correcto después de la intervención educativa, con significación estadística
