Comportamiento del hábito de fumar en el personal de la salud del Hospital Provincial “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola”. Año 2007
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio de corte transversal y perspectiva cualitativa a 530 fumadores, todostrabajadores Hospital Provincial General Docente “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola” de Ciego de Ávila,
en el período de Mayo a Septiembre del 2007. Se aplicaron métodos cualitativos como la entrevista
y la encuesta que incluyeron a médicos, personal de enfermería, técnicos y del servicio donde se
determinó el comportamiento del hábito de fumar en el personal de la institución. Se evaluó el
conocimiento y aplicación del Decreto Ley 360. Las etapas de secundaria y pre-universitario
constituyeron momentos idóneos para la iniciación del hábito de fumar en los encuestados. Por
consiguiente la cifra de consumo fue alarmante, alcanzando los 20 cigarrillos diarios, llamó la
atención el escaso conocimiento que se tiene sobre el Decreto Ley 360
