Comportamiento de algunas variables clínicas, psicológicas, espirométricas e inmunológicas en niños asmáticos persistentes severos tratados con acupuntura en períodos intercrisis
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio pre-experimental del tipo antes y después, para determinar la evolución clínica, psicológica, espirométrica e inmunológica de un grupo de niños asmáticos persistentes severos, tratados con acupuntura. La muestra estuvo constituida por 30 niños de 6 a 15 años, de ambos sexos, manteniendo el tratamiento normado por el especialista de Inmunología y Pediatría respectivamente. Evolucionaron bien 26 niños, 3 regular y 1 no satisfactorio, observándose mejoría en los signos y síntomas de la enfermedad, así como la disminución de la utilización de medicamentos. Las variables espirométricas mostraron valores significativos de probabilidad (P) menores de 0,05 y se observó una tendencia al aumento de los inmunocomplejos circulantesDownloads
