Fractura subcondílea. Presentación de un caso

Abstract

Las fracturas faciales han sido y serán un reto para los cirujanos bucomaxilofaciales, partiendo de que la rehabilitación de estas fracturas conlleva la función y la estética. Las fracturas mandibulares ocupan el tercer lugar en frecuencia de las mismas y las subcondíleas el 18% de estas. Se presenta el caso de una mujer blanca de 39 años que acude a consulta de Máxilo Facial por dolor e imposibilidad de cerrar la boca debido a una caída. Se realizan exámenes complementarios que demuestran fractura subcondílea derecha desplazada. Se decide tratamiento conservador con calzo posterior de acrílico. La evolución es satisfactoria
