Algunos aspectos epidemiológicos y quirúrgicos de la morbilidad por catarata
Abstract
Se realizó una investigación observacional descriptiva para conocer la morbilidad por catarata en el Hospital General Provincial Docente de Morón durante el período 1992-1996. De los 216 pacientes estudiados los resultados más importantes que se observaron fueron: el sexo masculino predominó con un 55.6 %; el 86.6 % de los pacientes pertenecían al grupo de edad de 60 o más años; el 93.5 % de los pacientes operados tuvieron complicaciones transoperatorias; la complicación transoperatoria más frecuente fue la ruptura de cápsula posterior, el 34.2 % de los pacientes tuvieron complicaciones postoperatorias, la complicación postoperatoria más frecuente fue la queratitis estriada.Downloads
