Abstract
Introduction: natural and traditional medicine is a harmonically structured knowledge system that is taught in the Medicine career.
Objective: to describe the level of satisfaction of the first year students of the Medicine career with the own course "Introduction to natural and traditional medicine".
Methods: a pedagogical research was carried out with the 829 students from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Ciego de Ávila who met the inclusion criteria during the 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years. A survey was applied according to the Likert scaling method. The study was developed in three stages where the ethical principles were met.
Results: half of the students (50,30 %) were very satisfied and almost the other half (45,84 %) were satisfied. Only two (0,24 %) in the 2018-2019 academic year expressed little satisfaction.
Conclusions: almost all the medical students showed a high level of satisfaction with their own course. The contribution of the research lies in increasing the scientific evidence on the teaching of these contents in the undergraduate degree.Downloads
