Análisis de algunas variables clínicas en relación con la retinopatía diabética
Abstract
Se efectuó un chequeo masivo a 697 pacientes diabéticos del municipio Morón, 648 de los cuales presentaban diabetes mellitus no insulino dependiente (93.0%) y 49 eran diabéticos insulino dependiente (7.0 %). Se analizó la relación entre la presencia de retinopatía diabética, tipo de diabetes, obesidad e hipertensión arterial. Se encontró una frecuencia de retinopatía diabética no proliferativa (RMP) del 44.9% en los diabéticos insulino dependientes (DMID) y del 2,6% en los diabéticos no insulino dependientes (DMNID). La obesidad afectó al 70.3% de los DMMID, los cuales presentaron un 19.8% de RMP. La RNP se presentó con mayor incidencia en los no obesos DMID (43.7%) que en los DMMID (26.4%). La hipertensión arterial no incrementó la presencia de RNP en los DMNID (18,2%). Los no hipertensos DMID tuvieron un 44,8 % de RNP y los DMNID el 25.0%.
