Abstract

Coloproctology is a specialty dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. Among the diseases treated are: anal fissure, hemorrhoidal disease, abscesses and anal fistulas, rectal prolapse, anal human papillomavirus, colon, rectal and anal cancer, colonic diverticulitis, constipation and fecal incontinence.
