Eficacia de la combinación del tratamiento kinésico, masaje terapéutico y digitopuntura en la recuperación temprana de pacientes mastectomizadas.

Abstract

Se realizó un ensayo clínico, fase II, abierto, no secuencial para conocer la eficacia del tratamiento kinésico, masaje terapéutico y la digitopuntura en la recuperación temprana de pacientes mastectomizadas en el Hospital Oncológico "María Curie" de Camagüey, de octubre del 2001 a junio del 2002. El universo estuvo constituido por todas las pacientes con diagnóstico de cáncer de mama, seleccionándose como muestra 100  pacientes operadas por la técnica de mastectomía radical, las que cumplían con los criterios diagnósticos, inclusión y exclusión establecidos en el ensayo, además de brindar su consentimiento informado. Fueron tratadas durante 30 días y evaluadas semanalmente. Los grupos etáreos predominantes oscilaron entre 31 a 50 años. Se aplicó un tratamiento rehabilitador temprano donde pudimos apreciar que en los movimientos articulares el hombro es la zona afectada y evitamos el linfoedema; por tanto, el volumen de la circunferencia braquial se mantiene igual o con un centímetro de diferencia en comparación con el miembro sano. Se tuvo en cuenta los síntomas asociados y no aparecieron reacciones adversas. Concluyó el tratamiento demostrándose la eficiencia de esta terapéutica donde el 89% de las pacientes obtuvieron resultados satisfactorios y el 11% no llegó al éxito total.
