Utilización del tisuacryl en periodoncia

Abstract

Se presenta un estudio experimental para valorar los resultados de la utilización del Tisuacryl en Periodoncia, para lo cual utilizamos cuarenta pacientes que acudieron a la Clínica Estomatológica Centro del Municipio Ciego de Avila con algún tipo de enfermedad periodontal que requiriera para su tratamiento de intervenciones quirúrgica, las cuales se realizaron desde Septiembre de 1998 hasta Junio del año 2000. A todos los pacientes se les confeccionó historia clínica de periodoncia, control de placa dentobacteriana y análisis complementarios de sangre, así como dos Rx en las zonas clínicamente mas afectadas. Concluido el acto quirúrgico se colocó Tisuacryl en sustitución de la sutura, haciendo las indicaciones de rigor que corresponden al post-operatorio. Se pudo observar que con el uso de este producto no se requiere de curación posterior a su aplicación, con el consiguiente ahorro de tiempo y materiales, la adhesividad y hemostásia se logra en breve tiempo lo que impide sangramiento del paciente, disminuye el riesgo de infecciones por quedar la herida aislada del medio y se evitan las posibles complicaciones por rechazo de la sutura
