Comportamiento de la cardiopatia isquémica aguda en la unidad de cuidados intermedios.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo a todos los pacientes ingresados con el diagnóstico de cardiopatía isquémica aguda en la Unidad de Cuidados Intermedios (UCIM) del Hospital Provincial Docente “Antonio Luaces Iraola”, de Ciego de Ávila en le año 2001, con el objetivo de conocer el comportamiento de esta patología en nuestra unidad. La incidencia de la enfermedad coronaria fue del 15.8 % en relación con el total de casos ingresados. Predominó significativamente la raza blanca y el grupo de edad de 60-74 años. El comportamiento en cuanto al sexo fue similar con ligero predominio femenino. La sepsis respiratoria y el reinfarto constituyeron las principales complicaciones. Predominaron los casos con angina inestable aguda y su evolución al IMA fue baja con sólo 0.7 %. La letalidad fue solamente de un 0.5%. Del total de pacientes reingresados, el mayor número utilizó el código trasladándose al hospital en apoyo vital avanzado.
