Abstract

Posterior fossa medulloblastoma is a highly aggressive malignant brain tumor. Symptoms include headache, vomiting, balance and coordination problems, blurred vision, and mental status changes.

The imaging findings of a 9-year-old female patient are presented below, associated with a large lesion that occupies the IV ventricle and completely compromises the cerebellar vermis, heterogeneous with some internal cystic images, hypointense on T1 and hyperintense on T2 and in FLAIR, with notable diffusion restriction and moderate heterogeneous contrast enhancement.
