Riesgo de morir por infarto agudo del miocardio en pacientes hospitalizados en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila.
Abstract
Se diseñó una investigación observacional analítica con 13 casos (fallecidos por infarto agudo del miocardio) y 34 controles (egresados vivos por infarto agudo del miocardio) con el objetivo de identificar algunos factores de riesgo en la mortalidad en pacientes hospitalizados en los meses de junio-agosto de 2011 en ambos hospitales de Ciego de Ávila. Se realizó un análisis bivariado y se controló la confusión al utilizar la regresión logística dicotómica. Los antecedentes de hipertensión arterial, los de diabetes mellitus, el traslado no sanitario, no aplicar tratamiento trombolítico y más de una hora entre el debut del infarto y la primera atención médica mostraron un riesgo significativo de morir en pacientes hospitalizados. Si se pretende reducir significativamente el riesgo de morir por esta causa, se debe tener en cuenta la intervención sobre los siguientes factores: si se aplicara el tratamiento trombolítico a la totalidad de los pacientes infartados, la mortalidad se reduciría en un 69.25%. Si se reduce el tiempo entre el debut del infarto y la primera atención médica a menos de una hora, morirían por esta causa un 61.26% menos de pacientes y si el traslado de estos enfermos se realizara en transporte sanitario al hospital se prevendrían el 48.66% de la mortalidad por esta causa.Downloads
