Comparación de dos técnicas coproparasitológicas para el diagnóstico de las geohelmintiosis intestinales
Abstract
Con la finalidad de comparar dos técnicas coproparasitológicas para el diagnóstico de las geohelmintiosis intestinales fueron procesadas 401 muestras de heces por las técnicas de Kato-Katz y Willis. Los resultados muestran que el 44,6% de la población estudiada se encontraba parasitada por geohelmintos. Al comparar los resultados obtenidos en el diagnóstico de Trichuris trichiura, Ascaris lumbricoides y ancylostomídeos observamos que el Kato-Katz fue más sensible, revelando el mayor número de casos. Teniendo en cuenta que esta técnica es un método cuantitativo podemos recomendarlo como de elección para el diagnóstico de las geohelmintiosis intestinales.
