Comportamiento de la sepsis intraabdominal en las unidades de cuidados intensivos e intermedios
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo de tipo prospectivo a 44 Historias Clínicas de pacientes ingresados en UCI y UCIM de nuestro Hospital desde Septiembre del 2001 hasta Septiembre del 2002 para conocer el comportamiento de la Sepsis Intraabdominal. El sexo femenino, así como los menores de 55 años fueron los casos más frecuentes, la edad avanzada, la intervención y reintervención quirúrgica tardía se observó con mayor frecuencia en los fallecidos. El dolor abdominal y la fiebre constituyeron los parámetros clínicos más frecuentes antes de la intervención quirúrgica, la anemia y la leucocitosis correspondieron a los humorales. Hubo poca utilización de los medios de cultivo microbiológicos y la Laparoscopia como medio auxiliar para el diagnóstico. La fiebre, la anemia, el SDRA, los trastornos hemodinámicos, las alteraciones de las pruebas de la función renal así como las alteraciones del equilibrio Acido-Básico e Hidroelectrolítico constituyeron los parámetros clínicos y humorales que llevaron a la reintervención quirúrgica. La mayoría de los pacientes egresaron vivos y hubo una adecuada asociación entre el diagnóstico clínico y Anatomopatológico en los casos fallecidos.
