Comportamiento de la insuficiencia cardíaca en el servicio de terapia. Año 2001
Abstract
Se revisaron 64 Historias Clínicas de pacientes con diagnóstico de Insuficiencia Cardíaca egresados de la unidades de Cuidados Intensivos e Intermedios del Hospital Provincial "Antonio Luaces Iraola" de Ciego de Ávila. El promedio de edad en el momento del ingreso fue de 66 años. No hubo diferencias numéricas en cuanto a sexo y predominaron los pacientes de raza blanca. La Cardiopatía Isquémica es la etiología encontrada con más frecuencia seguida de la Hipertensión Arterial. Los factores desencadenantes más importantes son la Sepsis Respiratoria, la falta de adhesión al tratamiento y las arritmias. Los medicamentos más usados en general son los diuréticos y la digoxina. Los inhibidores de la enzima conversora y la espironolactona están subutilizados. Los betabloqueadores se usan en muy pocas ocasiones. El promedio de ingreso hospitalario es de 2.08 y de 1.05 en las unidades de atención al grave. La estadía promedio es de 10.35 días.
