¿Cuál es el tratamiento más adecuado en la crisis aguda de gota?.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo donde se encuestaron 56 médicos especialistas no reumatólogos (22 internistas, 19 médicos generales integrales y 15 ortopedistas) con el objetivo de conocer sus criterios en cuanto al tratamiento de la crisis aguda de gota. El 17.8 % usó la aspirina a dosis analgésicas. El 69.6% considera a la colchicina como la droga de elección mientras que un 32.1% prefirió usar AINE. El 37.5% combinó los AINE con alopurinol y el 46.4% utilizó solo el alopurinol. Un 10.7% eligió al probenecid y un 7.1% optó por la sulfi mpirazona. El 10.7% consideró que los esteroides intrarticulares son útiles. La terapia esteroidea parenteral fue preferida por un 10.7%. El 55.3%, 25% y 19.6% distinguieron el uso de compresas frías, calientes o a temperatura ambiente en ese orden respectivamente. Son diversos los puntos de vista por lo que se precisa de estudios clínicos controlados que permitan unificar criterios para tratar el episodio gotoso agudo.
