Neoplasias del tiroides II: Diagnóstico y tratamiento

Se presenta la II parte de un artículo de revisión sobre las Neoplasias de la Glándula Tiroidea en el que se evalúa el diagnóstico y tratamiento de los carcinomas anaplásicos o indiferenciados, los derivados de las células C o parafoliculares (Medulares) y los linfomas tiroideos. Se hace una breve reseña de cada uno de ellos señalándose que el carcinoma anaplásico constituye el 10% de los procesos malignos de esta glándula con un pronóstico desfavorable y de difícil tratamiento. El carcinoma medular supone, el 1 al 2% de éstas neoplasias y se asocia a otros procesos oncoproliferativos del sistema endocrino con una evolución sombría por la agresividad que muestran y refractividad al tratamiento impuesto. El linfoma tiroideo se presenta raramente y suele confundirse con el indiferenciado, pero dado su mejor pronóstico y tratamiento diferente, es importante realizar una correcta diferenciación entre ambas neoplasias.Downloads
