Knowledge on buccal Health of the primary attention personnel from the Majagua Polyclinic as compared to the general population

A comparative cross-sectional study was conducted, involving the health workers of the Majagua Municipality as well as 6 patients from each of the 39 family doctors home-offices, both groups are administered a questionnaire on buccal health, it was applied to the health personnel by the authors of the investigation and to the general population by the doctors who underwent trainning. A far superior knowledge was observed in the health personnel in all the aspects evaluated. Unlike the general population the health personnel has shown to possess the adquate knowledge and it is ready to carry out the program: Education for Buccal Health. However, the dentistry team is not exerting all the necessary influencies, so we recomend to join efforts in this sense.Downloads
