Knowledge level about HIV/AIDS and the sexual behavios of the Majagua Municipality population. 2000-2002

A descriptive observational studywas performed looking for information and attitudes about HIV/AIDS and sexual behaviar in Majagua municipality population between 14-49 years old during 2000-2002. 543 persons of different dispensaries that belongs to 5 popular council of the municipality. An acceptable level of information was found for the HIV/AIDS because people identify the main ways of transmission of the HIV as well as what secure and risky sex means. On the other hand an unacceptable sexual behavior on the past of several sexual patners in one year, the non systematic use of condom and the early beginning of sexual relations, that is why it is recommended to increase health promotion activities with the purpose of achieving a positive impact on the sexual behavior. For this investigation 24 bibliographical references were used. This paper has a total of 9 tables that help in the discussion of it.Downloads
