Extracciones prematuras de caninos temporales como causa de iatrogenia.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal en escolares de 7 a 10 años de edad, de ambos sexos en el seminternado Granma del distrito Ignacio Agramonte en el período comprendido de febrero a marzo de 1999, por una estudiante de 2 año de estomatología, con el objetivo de determinar las alteraciones más frecuentes causadas por las extracciones prematuras de los caninos temporales inferiores, en una muestra de 14 pacientes que reunieron los criterios de inclusión establecido, a quienes se les aplicó un formulario en el que se recogieron datos generales y específicos según los objetivos, los cuales fueron procesados en una mini computadora 486. mediante el programa Microstad para obtener la significación estadística a través del test de hipótesis de proporciones; se obtuvo que la mayoría de los pacientes presentaron extracciones prematuras de ambos caninos temporales, predominio del perfil convexo y recto, colapso del sector anteroinferior y aumento del sobrepase coincidiendo con datos obtenidos por otros autores extranjeros. Se recomienda que el plan de extracciones seriadas se aplique teniendo en cuenta los requisitos para seleccionar los pacientes, un correcto diagnóstico individual y que se inicie en la época establecida.
