Influencia de los factores psicosociales sobre la hipertensión arterial

Abstract

Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre la influencia de los aspectos socio psicológico en la aparición de la hipertensión arterial, así como de  los factores que pueden contribuir a su causa. Por ser su origen idiopático, hay que concederle importancia  al estrés, el desarrollo tecnológico,  el medio ambiente, el estrés Postraumático, los conflictos bélicos, la violencia, drogas, y las guerras, el terrorismo, el desempleo,  los estilos de vida y hábitos tóxicos y el estrés por las batas blancas. Esta enfermedad constituye un factor de riesgo para la aparición de enfermedades cardiovasculares las que constituyen la primera causa de muerte en Cuba y el mundo. El incremento  de la enfermedad a nivel mundial y  el prejuicio socioeconómico que provoca debería ser preocupación de los gobiernos y de la comunidad organizada para promover campañas masivas para que la población tome conciencia de la necesidad de disminuir la morbimortalidad cardiovascular, por lo que su estudio y conocimiento es de gran importancia.
