Puericultura prenatal. Eficacia inmediata de un programa de intervención educativa

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio experimental prospectivo en el Área de Salud Norte de la ciudad de Ciego de Avila en el período comprendido de junio 96 a junio del 97; en la investigación se empleó un programa de intervención educativa. El universo de trabajo estuvo formado por las primeras 80 gestantes con 28 semanas o más y pertenecientes a dos grupos básicos de trabajo de nuevo tipo (G.B.T) uno de ellos se utilizó como grupo experimental (40 pacientes) y el otro como control (40 pacientes).

En los resultados tenemos que tanto en el grupo experimental como en el control predominan las gestantes de 20 a 35 años de edad, las mujeres de piel blanca, las de escolaridad secundaria y preuniversitaria así como las mujeres trabajadoras. En cuanto al antecedente de hijos lactados anteriormente predominan discretamente en el grupo experimental, también en este grupo se observa el menor por ciento del uso incorrecto de la lactancia materna. Por último se demostró una diferencia altamente significativa a favor del grupo experimental en cuanto al conocimiento de la hipogalactia fisiológica, del reflejo succión-deglución y de la diarrea transicional del recién nacido y de la participación del medio familiar.
