Cardiopatía isquémica: formas clínicas y complicaciones.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo para caracterizar las formas clínicas y las complicaciones más frecuentes de la cardiopatía isquémica en el Hospital Manuel Ascunce de Camagüey, los datos fueron procesados en una microcomputadora utilizando el paquete de programas estadísticos Microstat, el universo ascendió a 480 pacientes, predominando los grupos de edades a partir de los 51 años (86,66 %), el sexo masculino (57,50%), y el color blanco de la piel (83,33%). La angina de pecho inestable, el infarto agudo del miocardio, y las arritmias supraventriculares fueron en ese orden las principales formas clínicas. Los pacientes vivos representaron el 92.5%; el mayor porciento de fallecidos, con relación al total de la muestra, correspondió a los infartados (4,16%); sólo un tercio de los pacientes presentaron complicaciones siendo las más frecuentes el edema pulmonar y la bronconeumonía nosocomial, aunque el tromboembolismo pulmonar fue la principal complicación entre los fallecidos.
