El paciente quirurgico en la unidad de cuidados intensivos
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, longitudinal y prospectivo en el Hospital Provincial Antonio Luaces Iraola de Ciego de Ávila en un periodo de un año para determinar el comportamiento de algunas características clínico–epidemiológicas y del tratamiento del paciente quirúrgico en la U.C.I.; se determinó que los pacientes en las edades entre 46 a 55 años y de 66 a 79 años fueron los más afectados, el sexo femenino presentó una mayor mortalidad, relacionado directamente con la intervención quirúrgica tardía, el síndrome peritoneal fue el diagnóstico operatorio más frecuente con una mortalidad del 57,2%.
