Constipación en el niño. Algunas consideraciones sobre el diagnóstico y tratamiento.
Abstract
Se realiza una revisión del tema “constipación” en niños, se incluyen las causas más frecuentes, algunos aspectos fisiopatológicos, diagnóstico y tratamiento con el propósito de consolidar los conocimientos sobre la enfermedad y lograr pautas de tratamiento uniforme. Se concluye que la constipación es una enfermedad frecuente en la infancia con elevada prevalencia en pre-escolares aunque puede verse a cualquier edad. La edad de inicio de la constipación y el tacto rectal resultan de gran utilidad para el manejo diagnóstico del caso y el tratamiento debe encaminarse hacia tres aspectos fundamentales: Eliminar la impactación rectal, evitar que reaparezca y estimular hábitos defecatorios normales.Downloads
