Neurorretinitis subaguda unilateral difusa. A propósito de un caso
Abstract
Se presenta un caso infrecuente de un paciente de 20 años de edad, sexo masculino, raza blanca, que acudió al cuerpo de guardia de Oftalmología del Hospital Provincial General Docente “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola” por presentar disminución marcada de la agudeza visual del ojo derecho. Al examen físico ocular se constató palidez de la papila óptica, estrechez arteriolar y lesiones blanco- grisáceas en la periferia de la retina; un dato importante recogido en el interrogatorio y que nos orientó fue el contacto con animales domésticos (perro). Se realiza el diagnóstico presuntivo de Neurorretinitis Subaguda Unilateral Difusa (DUSN) y se remite al Departamento de Neuro-Oftalmología del Instituto de Neurología y Neurocirugía en Ciudad de la Habana, donde se verifica lo antes planteado y se decide tratamiento con láser. En la actualidad se sigue al paciente anualmente por riesgo de desprendimiento retiniano u otra complicación.
