Prevalencia de algunos factores de riesgo de hipertensión en la subpoblación de 15 a 49 años según género
Abstract
Teniendo en cuenta la alta tasa de mortalidad por enfermedades del corazón, realizamos un estudioanalítico de prevalencia, con el objetivo de determinar, algunos factores de riegos relacionados con la
Hipertensión, según género en la subpoblación de 15 a 49 años perteneciente al policlínico Sur, en el
período correspondiente de diciembre del 2004 a julio del 2005. La muestra estuvo constituida por 200
pacientes a los cuales se le aplicó un cuestionario, determinándose la prevalencia general de expuesto
y no expuesto, a través de la prueba estadística de Chi cuadrado, de Mantel Haesnzel y el grado de
asociación a través del Odd Ratio y sus líimites de confianza. Se encontró como factores de riesgo de
forma general: la edad mayor de 30 años (3,96 ), la raza negra ( 3,82 ), tipo de labor que desempeña
(5,06), el hábito de fumar (8,55), ingestión de bebidas alcohólicas (12,25 ), la no realización de ejercicios
físicos, ( 3,84 ) ingestión inadecuada de sal (2,23) , el alto índice de masa corporal(4,30) .Al estratificar
por género, los factores de riesgo coincidentes fueron :, el hábito de fumar ( 7,00 – 4,85 ), ingestión de
bebidas alcohólicas ( 15,67 – 12,28 ), y el alto índice de masa corporal ( 4,20 – 4,60 ), los resultados
se exponen en tablas estadísticas
