Uso del inhalador de dosis medida de salbutamol en pacientes asmáticos.
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo de corte transversal en 200 pacientes asmáticos,consumidores del inhalador de dosis medida de salbutamol pertenecientes al Policlínico Norte del
municipio de Ciego de Ávila, con el objetivo de conocer la forma habitual de utilización del medicamento.
Se realizó encuesta mediante entrevista individual a cada paciente en los meses de septiembre del
2000 a septiembre del 2001. Los principales resultados encontrados fueron: que se instruyó al 49% en
el uso del inhalador en el consultorio médico. El 57% de los casos utilizaban 2 o más inhaladores
mensuales. El 58% de los pacientes se aplicaban el medicamento más de 5 veces al día. Más de la
mitad de los pacientes no se aplicaban técnicamente bien el inhalador. Los errores más frecuentes
identificados fueron: no hacer coincidir la presión sobre el cartucho con la inspiración, accionar más de
una vez el inhalador en una misma inspiración. El 86% mostró interés en aprender la técnica correcta
