Síndrome coqueluchoide infeccioso
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observación al descriptivo, transversal en universo de 29 pacientes ingresadosen la sala de afecciones respiratorias pediátricas del “Hospital provincial General Docente Dr. Antonio
Luaces Iraola” en el periodo comprendido desde enero del año 2002 hasta diciembre del 2005 con el
objetivo de conocer el comportamiento clínico del síndrome coqueluchoide de causa infecciosa y
respuesta a la terapéutica indicada. El 86% de los casos ingresados correspondió a los menores de un
año, con predominio del sexo femenino. La tos, el estridor inspiratorio y los vómitos fueron los síntomas
más frecuentes. No se identificaron complicaciones en el 76% de los pacientes. Se utilizó
antibioticoterapia en el 100% de los casos atendidos
