Gangrena gaseosa
Abstract
La gangrena gaseosa constituye una entidad de elevada letalidad en cualquier institución hospitalaria;a pesar de su baja incidencia debe ser bien conocida por nuestros profesionales, licenciados y técnicos
ya que la misma puede aparecer de disímiles formas, tener muy rápida y fulminante progresión
dependiendo de nuestro inmediato accionar. Por su poca frecuencia puede ocasionar dudas en el
momento de su diagnóstico inicial asociando la misma en el mayor de los casos solo con las
especialidades quirúrgicas de Angiologia y Cirugía Vascular, Cirugía General y Traumatología. Es por
eso que abordamos en este trabajo: concepto, etiología , clasificación, principales especies aisladas en
muestras clínicas como Clostridium Perfringes ( C. Welchi), Clostridium Botulinum , Clostridium Tetanic,
y Clostridium Difficile, distribución y áreas donde encontrarlos así como los factores más importantes
para establecerse una infección clostridiana, patogénesis de la mionecrosis clostridial, clasificación
para la infección histotoxica en humanos, otras causas de lesiones crepitantes no clostridiana, cuadro
Clínico, , diagnóstico diferencial, profilaxis , tratamiento médico (oxigenación hiperbarica) y quirúrgico
combinados.
