Comportamiento de los accidentes en el niño.
Abstract
Se realizó una valoración sobre la accidentalidad pediátrica en el municipio 1ro de Enero durante elaño 2004. El total de casos registrados fue de 241. Se observó que el mayor número de niños se
encontraba en el grupo etáreo de 1 – 4 años. El sexo que predominó fue el masculino. El lugar que
más accidentes aportó fue el hogar. Las heridas constituyeron la principal causa de accidente. Un
número relativamente elevado de niños alcanzaron la categoría de lesión leve con tratamiento. Se
insiste en el cumplimiento de las normativas contenidas en el Programa Nacional de Prevención y
Reducción de Accidentes en el Niño
