Morbilidad en la unidad de cuidados intensivos pediátricos de Ciego de Ávila, 2004-2005
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo con objeto de determinar el comportamiento de la morbilidad de los niños ingresados en UCIP del Hospital General Docente “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola” de Ciego de Ávila en los años 2004-2005, para la realización del mismo se utilizaron como fuente de información las historias clínicas y el libro de registro de la sala. Los datos obtenidos se procesaron manualmente se analizaron por medida de frecuencia y se presentaron en tablas estadísticas obteniéndose los siguientes resultados: el 43.6% del total de niños correspondió al grupo menores de un año, el 50.6% proceden de las salas hospitalarias. El principal motivo de ingreso lo constituye las enfermedades diarreicas con un 23.3%, seguidas por las infecciones respiratorias bajas (17.03%).
