Lesiones malignas y premalignas del complejo bucal en pacientes de la zona norte de Ciego de Ávila

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo con el objetivo de determinar el comportamiento de las lesiones malignas y premalignas del complejo bucal atendidas en el Hospital General Provincial Docente de Morón durante el período de enero de 2000 a diciembre de 2004. Se recogieron los datos de los pacientes remitidos a la consulta del Programa Nacional de Diagnóstico Precoz del Cáncer Bucal en la zona norte de Ciego de Ávila. Para la obtención del dato primario se confeccionó un formulario donde se recogió la información necesaria en correspondencia con los objetivos de la investigación. Obteniéndose una mayor frecuencia de aparición de las lesiones premalignas en comparación con las neoplasias malignas, en la mayorías de los pacientes hubo correspondencia entre el diagnostico presuntivo y el diagnostico definitivo y fueron captados en la consulta estomatológica. Del total de pacientes el 78.2% practicaban el hábito de tabaquismo
