Complicación neurológica en paciente con Endocarditis Infecciosa. A propósito de un caso
Abstract
La endocarditis infecciosa aguda suele presentarse como un cuadro con variadas manifestaciones sistémicas. Cuando ocurre sobre una válvula protésica, dicha forma de presentación es más frecuente a menos de 2 meses de la intervención. No es frecuente la formación de abscesos cerebrales en el curso de esta entidad. Se presenta un caso clínico de Endocarditis Bacteriana sobre válvula protésica por Estafilococo Aureus que ocurrió de forma tardía con este tipo de complicación neurológica, donde se constataron metástasis sépticas a la piel y lesiones de Janeway en vida. La autopsia corroboró el diagnóstico. Se revisa la literatura sobre el tema.Downloads
