Diagnóstico tardío de lepra. Presentación de un caso
Abstract
La lepra es una enfermedad granulomatosa de evolución crónica, infecciosa, poco contagiosa, producida por el Micobacterium Leprae, que se caracteriza por lesiones cutáneas y de los nervios periféricos; además puede afectar otras estructuras, como mucosas de las vías respiratorias, ojos, músculos, hígado, testículos, etc. La Lepra Lepromatosa es la forma maligna de la enfermedad. Su diagnóstico tardío hace que el paciente presente discapacidades irreversibles.
