Publicaciones de autores de la provincia de Ciego de Ávila en las revistas médicas nacionales entre 2003 y 2007
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en el Centro Provincial de Información de Ciencias Médicas de Ciego de Ávila, para evaluar la producción científica sobre salud de los profesionales de la provincia en las revistas nacionales en el período 2003-2007. Para ello se revisaron todos los números de dichas revistas disponibles en Infomed y se creó una base de datos en Microsoft Access. Durante este período se publicaron un total de 13 artículos, con un promedio autor/artículo de 2,9 y una razón hombre:mujer de 1:1. Se obtuvo un índice de producción científica de 0,003 y un predominio de los artículos que son producto de estudios clínicos, seguido por los artículos de Salud Pública. De acuerdo a su formación académica fueron los médicos los que más publicaron, seguido de los profesionales no propios. La mayoría de los autores proceden de los hospitales provinciales de Morón y Ciego y tienen categoría docente de asistentes e instructores. El artículo de revisión y el original se presentaron con mayor frecuencia. Las revistas en las que más se publicó fueron Revista Cubana de Anestesiología y Reanimación y Revista Cubana de Medicina Intensiva y Emergencia. El área temática más utilizada fue la de las enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles, seguida de Investigaciones en Sistemas y Servicios de Salud.
