Characterization of the pedagogical preparation of Morphophisiology I professors
Abstract
It was carried out an investigation with the purpose of characterizing the pedagogical preparation of Morphophisiology I professors of the Medical career in five municipalities of Ciego de Avila´s province. The sample was constituted by the 100% of professors who taught the subject, to whom was carried out a survey with closed and mixed questions. Besides it was carried out a survey to five experts withteaching experience in Morphophisiology subjects. There were checked documents and bibliographies which allowed to delimit the scientific problem, to justify the study and to support it theoretically; the methodological design was structured based on the triangulation of theoretical, empirical methods and statistical procedures which allowed to obtain the necessary information about the characterization of the pedagogical preparation of Morphophisiology I professors, who received pedagogical preparation in postgraduate courses, diploma program and during the activities of methodological preparation. The greater difficulties were found in the application of the teaching methods as didactic category and there were needed to apply more the pedagogical knowledge in the teaching organizational form of workshop class. The deficiency of computers, little available time for personal development due to excessive patient load and the lack of connectivity were among the factors that made their preparation more difficult.
