Uso de transfusiones de sangre en pacientes ingresados en el servicio de Ortopedia y Traumatología del Hospital Provincial de Ciego de Ávila.
Abstract
El uso de las transfusiones sanguíneas hoy en día es un tema muy controvertido en el ámbito internacional y en nuestro medio, a pesar de los notables avances que han hecho de las transfusiones un tratamiento más seguro y con menor índice de complicaciones. Se presenta un estudio en el servicio de Ortopedia y Traumatología teniendo en cuenta la frecuencia con que son aplicadas las mismas, describiendo variables como edad, sexo, tipo de lesiones traumáticas, hemoglobina inicial y hemoglobina post-transfusional, así como las complicaciones que se presentaron en relación al proceso.
