Quiste gigante de ovario. Presentación de un caso.
Abstract
Se presenta un caso de quiste gigante del ovario, en una adolescente de 19 años de edad, que fuera atendida por el Servicio de Ginecología del Hospital Universitario de La Paz de Puerto Príncipe en Haití, en el año 2006, por un aumento de tamaño en el abdomen además de presentar una amenorrea de 6 meses de evolución en una paciente que había tenido menstruaciones regulares desde lo 12 años que tubo su menarquía. Se realizaron estudios clínicos y ultrasonográficos. Se confirma a través de una laparotomía exploradora, una tumoración quística gigante del ovario con dimensiones extraordinarias, lo que es poco frecuente. En su estudio anatomopatológico se comprobó el diagnóstico de cistoadenoma seroso del ovario.
