Invaginación intestinal en el adulto. Presentación de un caso

Abstract

Se presenta una paciente femenina, negra, de 46 años de edad, con una invaginación ileocecoapendicocólica, patología muy poco frecuente en nuestro medio. Se muestran el estudio clínico y los exámenes complementarios realizados, los que incluyeron humorales, radiografías de colon por enema, ecografía abdominal y laparotomía. Se describe la técnica quirúrgica empleada y el resultado histopatológico de la pieza extraída. Al duodécimo día del postoperatorio fue dada de alta con una evolución satisfactoria. El resultado anatomopatológico fue: invaginación intestinal del tipo ileocecoapendicocólica. La paciente tuvo una excelente evolución clínica. Se realiza una revisión de la literatura y se exponen los criterios de mayor interés
