Abstract
La fiebre amarilla, en el siglo XIX, fue uno de los problemas sanitarios que mayor impacto tuvo en el mundo. Los científicos de todas las regiones se empeñaron en encontrar su causa así como el tratamiento eficaz. Sin embargo, el resultado en general de tanto esfuerzo fue desalentador. Cuba no estuvo libre de este azote, por el contrario, fue uno de sus principales focos y la comunidad científica no se encontró ajena a las investigaciones en torno a este morbo, encabezada por el eminente médico camagüeyano Carlos Juan Finlay y Barré (1833-1915)Downloads
