Morbilidad por intoxicaciones agudas producidas por psicofármacos
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo de tipo retrospectivo al estudiar los años 2005 - 2010, de todas las consultas realizadas en el Centro para la Salud, Desarrollo e Información Toxicológica de la provincia Ciego de Ávila, para evaluar el comportamiento de las intoxicaciones agudas por psicofármacos. Se consideraron las variables sexo, grupos de edades, tipo de psicofármaco, ocupación, circunstancias de las intoxicaciones, principales manifestaciones clínicas. El intervalo de edad de mayor frecuencia de intoxicaciones fue el de 15 a 24 años a predominio en todos los casos del sexo femenino, dentro de los agentes causales los ansiolíticos específicamente las benzodiazepinas resultaron los de mayor incidencia, y predominó el uso conjunto de dos medicamentos, los intentos suicidas como circunstancia, y las amas de casa como grupo más expuesto, alcanzaron la supremacía de los casos, los síntomas neurológicos predominaron en la mayoría de los pacientes intoxicados.Downloads
