Eventos adversos encontrados con el uso de la betametasona en embarazadas del hogar materno norte.

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo retrospectivo en embarazadas del hogar materno norte del municipio de Morón en el período comprendido entre enero de 2007 hasta diciembre 2011 con el objetivo de describir nuevos eventos adversos con el uso de la betametasona en embarazadas ingresadas en esta unidad. El universo estuvo constituido por el total de gestantes institucionalizadas. Se consideraron, para el estudio, 328 pacientes con edad gestacional entre 28 y 33 semanas. Para la obtención del dato primario se utilizó la observación de las manifestaciones clínicas en las gestantes y el análisis de documentos a través de la revisión de historias clínicas. Al analizar la ocurrencia de reacciones adversas producidas por el medicamento se observó que en más del 50% de los casos estuvieron presente las no descritas en la literatura. Finalmente se expresó el contenido en tablas de distribución de frecuencia, se aplicó el número y porcentaje. Se utilizó como referencias bibliográficas la información encontrada en el Centro Provincial de Información de Ciencias Médicas en Ciego de Ávila, además de la base de datos MEDLINE previa documentación del autor. Con el estudio se demuestra la necesidad de profundizar respecto a los eventos adversos de la betametasona.
