Factores epidemilógicos, morbilidad y mortalidad en las fracturas trocantéricas del fémur.
Abstract
Se realiza un estudio retrospectivo de los factores epidemiológicos, morbilidad y mortalidad de los pacientes con fracturas trocantéricas del fémur ingresados en el Hospital Provincial "Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola" en el periodo de 1989 a 1993. Se analizan las variables de edad, sexo, afecciones asociadas y tipos de fracturas. Se describe una mayor frecuencia de las fracturas en los meses de marzo, julio, diciembre y noviembre con 36, 33, 29 y 25 casos respectivamente. Se conoció que la zona urbana es la más afectada y que el 84% de los accidentes que producen las fracturas ocurren en el hogar. Se reporta una mortalidad de 16.7% de los casos después de un año del trauma y la Bronconeumonía como la causa más frecuente de muerte.Downloads
