Prostate microcitoma or tumor of small cells. A new report

Abstract

The report of a new case of Prostatic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma or microcitoma is presented, who is seen in Urology clinic because of low obstructive urinary symptoms (night pollakiuria from four to five times, micturition effort, micturition urgency and weak jet of urine), to the digital rectal examination it was confirmed a prostate gland enlarged, badly defined rims, not painful, fixed and with important increase of its consistency. Transrectal biopsy is carried out giving as result a prostatic carcinoma of small cells (microcitoma).
