Prosthetic rehabilitation in an adolescent. case report
Abstract
Introduction: dental traumatisms constitute an alarming experience in dental practice with psychological repercussions in patients and relatives.
Objective: to describe the fabrication of an acrylic removable partial denture for a child with avulsion of the upper left central incisor (tooth 21) due to trauma.
Case presentation: a white, male, 12-year-old adolescent who presented himself accompanied by his mother in the dental prosthesis consultation of the "Julio Antonio Mella" Polyclinic in Camagüey for the solution of his aesthetics and emotional state caused by edentulousness (tooth 21) after facial trauma. The treatment plan consisted in the fabrication of a removable acrylic prosthesis with Adams-type retainers.
Conclusion: the case of a 12-year-old male adolescent who received prosthetic rehabilitation of the upper left central incisor (tooth 21) after facial trauma was presented.
