El SIDA y sus principales problemas bioeticos

Abstract

Se realiza una revisión acerca del SIDA que incluye sus principales aspectos epidemiológicos, manifestaciones clínicas, mecanismos de transmisión, diagnósticos y tratamientos. Se analizan los principales problemas bioéticos relacionados con esta entidad, como son: la discriminación, la confidenciabilidad del diagnóstico y la responsabilidad del estado de limitar la propagación de la enfermedad.

Finalmente se expone que la técnica de medicina eficaz contra el mal, es la prevención y se concluye que no debe triunfar la discriminación sobre las medidas de prevención, debe tratar de respetarse siempre la confidenciabilidad y que el Programa Cubano está sujeto a cambios constantes, con el objetivo de encontrar el sistema más perfecto para pacientes, portadores y población en general.
